Top Ten (Must Watch ) Korean Drama

Annyeong Haseyo! 안녕하세요
Are you a Koreanovela addict?  A K-popper?  A "Bias" ?
Well, I'm sure you're very much aware with the most popular and trending Koreanovela which have been part of the programming in any broadcasting network nowadays.

I love Korean drama because of its unique story line, has many plot twists, interspersed by action was also good, and most importantly, I really like Korean drama because they are not boring. Not like our local teleseries which are too easy to guess, the story is repeated over and over again, too many cliche, and so on and so forth...

And as a self-confessed Koreanovela addict, I prepared a Top Ten list (in any order) of the must watch Korean drama which made me feel romantic, giggled, horrified, thrilled, and suspense watching.

  1. Pinocchio (2014)
A sweet, feel-good coming-of-age romantic comedy from the writer-director team behind the drama I Hear Your Voice, this series centers around young adults getting their first jobs as broadcast news reporters. In-Ha (Park Shin-Hye) stars as the heroine with fictional "Pinocchio syndrome," where she can't tell a lie without hiccupping, and Lee Jong-Seok( Ha-Myeong ) co-stars as her fake adopted uncle. They grow up together and face the challenges of investigative journalism as rivals for different stations, forging friendships and finding love along the way.
  2. The Master's Sun (2013) -
A romantic-comedy, flirt with horror in this unique drama take on opposites. Joo Joong Won (So Ji Sub) is a rapacious CEO who is only concerned about money. His secretary, Tae Gong Sil (Gong Hyo Jin), is a dark and reticent insomniac who is burdened with the ability to see ghosts. Joong Won and Gong Sil are an unlikely duo in every regard, but they share one thing in common: they are both intensely crippled personalities that need a lot of help. Can the money hungry Joong Won recognize priorities beyond the dollar sign, and can the lonely Gong Sil ever live a life without fear? Together, strange as it may be, it’s possible in this unique dance between yin and yang.
  3. The Heirs / The Inheritors (2013)
A worthy successor to the international hit Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs follows a group of privileged, elite high school students as they are groomed to take over their families' business empires. These wealthy students seem to have everything under control–except their love lives. Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) is heir to the Empire Group sent to study abroad in the U.S. In reality it's a form of exile, as his elder half-brother back home (Choi Jin Hyuk) schemes to take over the family business. While in the States, Kim Tan bumps into Cha Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye), who's arrived from Korea in search of her older sister. He feels himself falling for her, never realizing that she's the daughter of his family's housekeeper. When his fiancée Rachel Yoo (Kim Ji Won) arrives to bring him back to Korea, his heart is torn between love and duty. Meanwhile, Rachel's half-brother Choi Young Do (Kim Woo Bin) develops his own crush on Eun Sang. Who said being a rich, beautiful high school student was easy?
  4. My Girlfriend is a Nine Tailed Fox (2010) -
Cha Dae Woong is a spoiled brat with plans to become a successful action star. One day, on the run from his rich grandfather's latest fit of rage towards him, he accidentally frees a nine-tailed fox, Gu Mi Ho, who has been imprisoned in a painting for 500 years. Frightened at first, he runs away to the woods and ends up getting seriously injured. Feeling indebted to him, Gu Mi Ho gives him her " fox orb " a powerful part of her life force, to heal him. When he wakes up, the two form an awkward partnership, as Dae Woong begins to rely on the power of the orb to shoot his action sequences, while also giving in to Mi Ho's request to teach her how to act human. Though Dae Woong is initially acting out of fear, things start to change as he gradually begins to fall for her. However, Mi Ho will be faced with a terrible choice as her time in human form runs out in this heart-wrenching comedy. My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox is a snappy, quirky, folklore-infused romantic drama about a star-crossed couple played by actor/singer Lee Seung Gi  (Shining Inheritance ) and Shin Min Ah ( A Love To Kill ).
  5. 49 Days (2011) -
Shin Ji Hyun  (Nam Gyu-Ri) life seems to be storybook perfect. Her parents adore her and her friends all seem to admire her. Ji-Hyun is also engaged and set to marry her fiance Kang Min Ho (Bae Soo-Bin) in just a few days. But her perfect life is shattered when she gets into a car accident that leaves her in a coma. She is given a second chance at life by a person called The Scheduler (Jung II Woo), but it comes with a condition: she has to find three people outside of her family who would cry genuine tears for her. In order to do this, she borrows the body of Song Lee-Kyung (Lee Yo-Won), a part-time employee at a convenience store for 49 days.

Park Ji Sang (Ahn Jae-Hyeon) is a doctor specializing in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery in the best cancer research hospital in the country. He is also a vampire. Despite seeming cold and unfeeling, Ji Sang masks his soft heart and inner pain and yearns for closeness with people. He believes very strongly in the sanctity of human life, and suppresses his thirst for blood to treat terminally ill patients and save lives. Among his colleagues is Yoo Ri Ta (Ku Hye-Sun), a hotshot physician who entered medical school at the age of 17 and is also the niece of the chaebol group chairman Yoo Seok-Joo (Kim Kap-Soo) who owns the hospital. Ri Ta is highly capable but snooty and prideful, yet Ji Sang finds himself falling for her. He also gets drawn into a conflict between good and evil as he encounters Lee Jae Wook (Ji Jin-Hee), a two-faced hospital chief who gains everyone's trust with his gentle demeanor, but inwardly harbors a dangerous ambition for power and a talent for cruelty.
  7. I Hear Your Voice (2013) -

Meanwhile, Cha Kwan Woo is Jang Hye Sung's fellow lawyer who is a cheerful and idealistic former cop even though his character a bit slow, he is nice and pleasant with a firm idea of his principles and justice. Together they will team up to to find the justice in the courtroom and solve the toughest cases with less than 1% chance of winning.
  8. Let's Fight Ghost (2016) -
Park Bong-Pal (Ok Taec-yeon) has grown up with ability to see ghosts and uses this ability to work as an exorcist, banishing ghosts, but only weak ones, in order to make enough money to take away his ability to see ghosts. Called to a haunted school he encounters Kim Hyun-Ji (Kim So-hyun) a feisty middle high-school student who, because of a traffic accident, became a wandering spirit the day before her college entrance exams. The two accidentally kiss and Hyun-ji discovers that Bong-Pal holds the secret as to why she is a spirit. In order to be freed from endlessly wandering the earth as a ghost and to ascend to the next life, Hyun-Ji convinces Bong-Pal to allow her to live with him and the two become ghost fighting partners. With Hyun-Ji as his partner, Bong-Pal finds that he can fight even stronger ghosts, but also learns that not all ghosts are malevolent, that with the understanding of a ghost's story he can sometimes more simply help them pass into the next world. Working and living together Bong-Pal, a long time loner because of his spirit sight, finds himself falling in love with Hyun-Ji, and she also likes him. However, both are unaware that even as they hunt ghosts, they, in turn, are stalked by an evil spirit that was the cause of Hyun-Ji's accident, and also the reason of why Bong-Pal can see ghosts.
  9. W - Two Worlds (2016)
Cardiothoracic surgeon Oh Yeon-Joo's (Han Hyo-joo) father Oh Sung-Moo (Kim Eui-Sung) mysteriously went missing while writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W". While reading a note left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in. She finds herself on the rooftop of a building next to a bleeding man. She manages to save him and realises that the person she saved was Kang Cheol. She then found out that she can only leave the webtoon based on Kang Cheol's change in feelings. When that happens, the words "to be continued" will appear and she will teleport back to the real world.

It's love at first sight for special forces Captain Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki) when he meets a beautiful doctor  Kang Mo-Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) who treats his wounds. Over before it can truly begin, the two separate due to their opposite values -- one being a soldier who takes lives, and the other a doctor who fights to save them. Almost a year later, a fateful reunion takes place in Uruk, causing them to work together. Can Shi Jin and Mo Yeon overcome their biggest hurdle, or was it never meant to be? This is a drama about the love of people who get closer as they learn to be considerate of each other in desperate times and sacrifices made by people who throw themselves into natural disasters.
